Moist apple cake with crispy streusel – Quick & Easy
Dough:
300 g whole wheat flour
200 g butter
A pinch of salt
5 tbsp ice-cold water or
mineral water
1 tsp honey
Filling:
About 800 g apples
Juice of 1/2 lemon
2-3 tbsp honey
Cinnamon to taste
50-100 g chopped almonds
100 g raisins
2 tbsp very finely ground
whole wheat flour.
Knead all ingredients quickly, roll out slightly more than half
of the dough and line the form with it.
Pull the dough edge up slightly
Coarsely grate the apples, mix with the remaining ingredients, and fill the dough.
Place the remaining dough over the filling.
Bake for about 40 minutes at low temperature. A simmer plate is recommended.
Tip: Place a twist-off lid on the chimney when filling.
