Tasty Onion Cake
Autumn on the plate 🍂: Fragrant onion tart with a creamy cream-egg mixture and a pinch of caraway. Savory, simple, irresistible!

For the dough:
200 g flour
1 tsp salt
1 heaping tsp baking powder
100 g quark
4 tbsp oil
4 tbsp water
For the topping:
600 g onions
50 g butter
1 tsp caraway seeds
2 tbsp sour cream
2 eggs
Salt and pepper
Mix the flour with salt and baking powder. Add quark, oil, and water,
knead into a dough. Set aside, covered with a cloth.
Slice the onions thinly. Sauté in a pan with butter until translucent,
sprinkle with caraway seeds and let cool.
Whisk sour cream with the
eggs, season with salt and pepper. Line the pan thinly with the dough.
Spread the onions over the dough and pour the cream-egg mixture over them.
Cook 5 minutes on highest heat, then 40 minutes on lowest heat.
